For years, my gifted students (Kindergarten through eighth grade) have participated in an annual Gingerbread House Competition. It's a timed 45-minute architectural challenge that tests their ingenuity, teamwork, and quick-thinking skills. Students must plan, design, and construct a stable structure using edible materials under strict time constraints. Due to economic shifts, it may not be possible for every family to afford these materials. We need your support to purchase the gingerbread kits and icing needed for this fast-paced, high-stakes competition. Each house will be allowed to have two students participate in this activity. My hope is that ALL students will have the opportunity to participate in this cherished tradition, which promotes collaboration and applied creativity. Every student deserves this unique, hands-on learning experience!
