# Listful vs. GiftX: We Tried Both

GiftX is a newer AI gift finder and wishlist app, so we tried it on desktop and iPhone to see how it compares to Listful. Here's what happened.

### What is GiftX?

GiftX is an AI gift finder and wishlist app at [giftx.tech](https://giftx.tech). Its App Store listing highlights an AI gift quiz, gift ideas based on a photo, Secret Santa, a price-comparison scanner, and wishlists you can save from any online store.

### What happened when we tried GiftX?

We tested it on Oct 6, 2026, on both desktop and iPhone.

- **On desktop,** a tutorial popup loaded on top of the homepage and overlapped the page. The Next button didn't respond, so we couldn't continue.
- **On iPhone,** the app showed the same tutorial. The Next button was cut off the edge of the screen, and tapping Skip didn't close it either.

So we weren't able to actually use GiftX on either device. Bugs happen, and GiftX may have fixed this by the time you read this.

### How do the App Store reviews compare?

This is the biggest difference. On the day we checked, GiftX had 3 total ratings on the App Store, and the most recent written reviews were from January. Listful is rated [4.8 stars from 23K+ ratings](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6505107527).

### How do Listful and GiftX compare on features?

| | Listful | GiftX |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Save from any store | Yes | Yes, per its listing |
| Share with one link | Yes, opens in any browser | Yes, per its listing |
| Gift reservations | Yes | Not listed |
| Separate lists per occasion | Yes | Not listed |
| AI gift quiz | No | Yes |
| Worked when we tested (Oct 6, 2026) | Yes | No, stuck on tutorial |
| App Store ratings | 23K+ | 3 |

GiftX leans into AI gift ideas. Listful focuses on making your wishlist easy to build and easy for everyone else to shop from.

### Which wishlist app should you use?

If you want a wishlist that works today, with any store, for any occasion, Listful is the safer pick. You can [save items from any store](https://www.listful.com/blog/how-to-make-a-wishlist-online-from-any-store-), keep [separate lists for every occasion](https://www.listful.com/blog/wishlist-organization-guide), and share one link so [nobody buys the same gift](https://www.listful.com/blog/how-to-share-a-christmas-list-with-family-so-nobody-buys-the-same-gift-).

Curious how other apps stack up? We also tested [GoWish's gift generator](https://www.listful.com/blog/we-tested-gowish-s-gift-generator-here-s-what-it-actually-recommended-) and compared [Listful vs. GiftList](https://www.listful.com/blog/listful-vs-giftlist).
