I wear "short socks" (ankle/no show socks) with my "long socks" to prevent blisters on extremely long walks/runs. Only downside: they slidedown. I don't like it sliding down, because my short socks also do. I definitely wish I'd afford the thicker socks, because I did notice I miss in what I'd planned to be my "old socks" . . I know it's a little per sock, but I was over budget with what I did get. The shape seems to be what I need to figure out. I am buying these for BCT. I want socks made nearby where I can go meet the makers myself if I was able, plus, at this price, I think the warranty is a steal. I have yet contacted them: since I've never had this height sock before, am I experiencing something normal or not? Wish I'd picked out a thicker texture! For the thickness, this is a breathable, lightweight, SOFT texture! If you're the type to have hot sweaty feet, these will dry quickly, and you can easily wash them and set them to dry in the sunlight. They are like new when they dry.
