Marpac Rohm Travel Sound Therapy Machine

We bought a Rohm 5 months ago for our new born and were extremely pleased with it, the sound options were great, volume levels were good and the battery lasted well. It was nice and simple to use doing exactly what it said on the tin. Sadly two weeks ago the buttons stopped working (not the child lock) as did the charging light (though it still appears to charge) leaving us with a device that we could not turn off or on. I contacted customer services via the form and many days later eventually got a response saying I would need to destroy it before they sent another one, alternatively they could send a new one and I could destroy afterwards. Given we use this for our baby we opted to wait for the replacement before destroying the old broken one as we didn't want to be left with nothing. It has been just over a week now since requesting the replacement and I haven't heard anything back from customer support..I'm glad I hadn't destroyed the original one whilst I wait now.
