Bought in March 2024, used to walk around the city and glue is already separating from the sole. These shoes are only 7 months old with light use. The bottom of the shoe separating means it's no longer waterproof even though I paid extra money for Gore-Tex. I have owned a few pairs of Merrell Shoes for over a decade and I have been a loyal Merrell customer. The other hiking shoes I've purchased in the past were worn daily and lasted years. These shoes although light and very comfortable are cheaply made. The sole separating from the shoe can be compared to a Walmart generic hiker in terms of manufacturing quality. I have emailed customer service to help me with this issue. I wrote this review to inform and warn others of this shoe's build quality. I'm embarrassed and disappointed for paying so much money for a shoe that lasted 7 months. On another note they were slightly bothersome to my ankle when I first purchased them as another reviewer wrote. The discomfort went away after the 6th use. It was the upper padding on the ankle support that was rubbing and causing discomfort / irritation to my upper ankle. I was happy with the shoes until the glue started to separate about a month ago from just walking around the city and my feet got wet.
