I have textured skin and was really hoping this foundation would work for me (˙◠˙). When I first tried it in-store at Sephora with the Rare Beauty Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer, it looked beautiful and the coverage was great (medium to high, definitely buildable). It has a matte finish. But once I wore it on my own, it was a different story. The formula is pretty drying and flaky, and it didn’t blend well with a beauty blender at all; I had better luck with a brush, but it still looked patchy. I wore it during a 5-hour shift and then to the gym, and by the end it was super cakey, even more textured!!! It also doesn't feel weightless, I could definitely feel it on my face. I usually have a solid base routine, so I really wanted this to be my go-to. Sadly, it’s a return for me. Just a heads-up if you deal with texture or dryness... this might not sit well on your skin.
