I bought two pairs of these jeans. One in black and one with giant cargo pockets and distressed denim. In terms of how they fit, it was like two completely different pairs of pants. The cargo version fit amazing. A little gapping at the back and that's it. A problem I run into with most non-stretch jeans. The material is heavy and stiff, it feels like real denim. Such a rarity these days. It's so cozy. And the wash was absolutely gorgeous. Perfect pair of retro jeans. Even though they're extremely baggy, they didn't look unflattering on my petite frame. I actually gasped at how good I looked after pulling them on. I love these pants. Definitely a pair that feels worth the investment to have tailored. The black pair is just unimpressive in every way. The material is that almost velvety soft, lint magnet black that's like staring into a black hole. The material is a little on the thin side with a ton of drape. Very little structure of its own. Definitely not great for wide leg jeans and it shows when you put them on. It looked kinda like a huge skirt and just swallowed my petite frame. Not flattering at all, very frumpy. On top of all that, even though I ordered the same size as the previous pair, this pair was way too large in the waist and hips. It definitely didn't fit, whereas the other one fit like a glove. I think it's the rise. It just feels weirdly off like it's actually a bit higher than mid and they don't want to sit where I think they're supposed to and look and feel very awkward when I force them there. I'm giving two stars because from what I can tell, most pairs are styled like the black and the cargo pair were an anomaly in both material and features. If they bring the heavy denim cargo style back though, I highly recommend grabbing a pair!
