I've had a cheap TCL before and the picture seemed better than this TV without ever changing the settings. Especially for my Xbox One and PS4 at the time. I've had this TV for 5 months. I was desperate for a new TV after the backlight of my old TV went out. I bought this after reading a lot of positive feedback within the Xbox and PS5 communities. Well they're full of you know what. They had to have been paid to say all those nice things. It's not entirely bad, but this TV is too dark and the brightness setting doesn't get bright enough. The sports and game modes made everything look worse and almost not visible because of how dark they made everything. I've never had to change the settings on a TV as much as I have with this TV. Every time I watch a movie or play on Xbox or PlayStation, I have to adjust the settings. I even turned off the sports and Game modes because of how bad everything looked. The 'movie' picture setting seems like 15fps or less in a lot of movies. Adjusting the motion in settings doesnt make a difference until I set motion all the way to the right and by then it's too smooth and looks like a soap opera. Audio settings (usually on 'standard' or 'game' sound modes) sometimes sounds like people are talking in a large empty room. Subtitles on PlayStation and Xbox are often scrambled during camera panning and are unreadable until the motion stops. I never had this issue with any TV before. It's definitely for people who just want a cheap TV for a guest room that isn't going to get much use. But there are cheaper better quality TVs. I can only recommend this TV if you can get it for $100 or less.
