After hesitating a while because of other customers' negative reviews, I decided to just buy it and see if I can get $85 (sale price at the time) worth of value over its life expectancy of 10 years. While I respect the negative reviews and recommendations against its purchase, I did not find any quality concern on my mattress when I bought it several months ago, so these quality problems seemed to have been resolved by then. In fact, I was highly impressed when it sprang into shape soon after I unboxed it. I think many customers would find this mattress to be on the hard side, like I did, but I was eventually able to soften the sleep experience by topping the mattress with some soft bedding material like a futon blanket. If I were younger, like in my 20s, I would probably be comfortable sleeping on it as it is because I didn't have any problem sleeping on whatever the U.S. Army provided, even if it was nothing more than a sleeping bag on a mattress pad on the bare ground. Not everyone can afford to pay hundreds or even thousands for the ideal mattress -- I once saw two guys giddy, as if they hit the jackpot, hauling away a mattress that I noticed earlier was abandoned next to the dumpster.
