Hello there! Thank you for looking at my wishlist. As a student who grew up with undiagnosed ADHD, I know the struggles that can come with sensory regulation in the integrated classroom. My passion is to support those student on the neurodiverse spectrum and help them build awareness, acceptance and confidence in their superpowers and beautiful brains. My wishlist is filled with items that will be used to support students who are on the Autism Spectrum and/or have ADHD. The students I work with often become overwhelmed by the high demands of full inclusion in their regular classrooms. With the provisions of a sensory regulation area, my students yea can have a space where they can “press pause” on their day in a safe space that meets their individual needs. This list is asking for sensory-friendly furniture, tools to assist with sensory processing and partitions in which to dedicate a specific area in my classroom for them to feel welcomed and supported. My goal is to raise awareness and support for the neurodiverse students in my low socioeconomic school district.
