$64.97

Roast a 28-pound turkey or whole ham in the Aroma XL Electric Roaster Oven. The new, domed lid covers large birds with better heat circulation. Plus, it traps rising steam for moist meat without basting. The 22-quart electric roaster pan is non-stick and easy to clean with an enamel finish. Use the stainless steel rack to easily lift heavy meats for cutting and serving. Electric roaster ovens are more efficient, so you can slow roast even faster. With 1450 watts adjust the heat from 150 to 450F with handy settings to defrost and keep warm.

his is my second 22 quart roaster. The first one was a different brand and I loved it, but it was needing replacement. I wanted another 22 quart and this one seemed to fit the bill. I was completely wrong. I often cook large 18 lb hams, or 20 lb turkeys. My old roaster handled these perfectly. This roaster fails in every aspect. It will not hold temperature for any length of time. It takes double the time to cook that my oven does, which is absurd. Counter top roasters are supposed to cook faster and free up space. The last and worst feature is that the rack for cooking is very small and the handles are way too short to successfully raise or lower your cooking product. Even in the photo pictured above you can see that there isn't any way to lower or raise that turkey in or out of the roaster without burning your hands. The handles are just a couple of inches off of the bottom and there is no space between the turkey and the side of the roaster to put your hands or get to the handle. I cooked an 18 lb turkey at Thanksgiving and burned my hands and a 16 lb ham at Christmas and burned my hands. YES, I used pot holders. If I could return this item, I WOULD. This obviously didn't go through beta testing with actual cooks. The only thing I can use this for will be cooking down tomato sauce and that is an awful expensive slow cooker. Totally disappointed and buying stock in neosporin to heal the burns.
