I heard about Amazfit Bip 3 Pro on YouTube. I had been searching for a decent watch for running, mainly for stopwatch functions. There were dozens of reviews, and I chose the ones applicable to my needs. All of the reviews were at least somewhat positive, and most were overwhelmingly positive while pointing out some areas of disappointment. Since purchasing the watch on Amazon, I have been more than happy. In fact, extremely happy. At first, I didn't know whether I really wanted the GPS function and briefly considered purchasing the lower priced model without it. So glad I didn't. I travel weekly, for work, and the GPS helps me to keep track of mileage in strange locations. I used to use Map My Run, and it's good, but it takes time to set up your route. This watch eliminates that completely, giving accurate time, distance, and a map of the route. I've even checked it against Map My Run, and it is always very similar. I had heard two things about GPS-enabled watches. One, that there is often difficulty in obtaining engagement with satellites, and two, that heavily wooded areas can interfere with connections. I ran at a local trail this week which is loaded with trees, and didn't have any issues whatsoever. I also have not encountered any connection lag. The most it has taken is a few seconds for the GPS to engage. Another thing the reviewers said was that they were impressed with the battery life of the watch, and that it held a charge for 14 days with no problem. I've had the watch for exactly 2 weeks now, and while I haven't worn it 24/7, it is currently at 40%. I'd say that's remarkable. The running data the watch provides is great. It is way more detailed than I expected or thought I needed. Turns out some of the information is quite helpful, and it allows me to keep track of trends in my performance. Much more I could say, but it really has made an impact, a far greater impact than I figured. And at the price paid, I am completely satisfied. Fellow runners searching for a tool watch to help them keep track of their training can rest assured this unit is up to the job. Consider me impressed.
