Got a Shokz OpenRun headset principally for running. Open ear design means my lugholes don't fill with sweat, I can hear ambient sound and I'm not deafened by each stride echoing inside my empty skull. Sound reproduction is perfectly adequate for enjoyable music listening or phone calls although somewhat lacking bass frequencies. Waterproof design means they're easy to keep clean and no issues with OCRs featuring swim / wading sections. I barely notice I'm wearing them so my inclination is to just leave them on, connected to my phone as my everyday headset. Microphone quality is reported to be good according to folks on the other end of a call. Music and call controls can be a bit finnicky with just one function button. Tactile response is quite soft and it could maybe use some UI audio feedback of a button push. I can't count the number of times I've accidentally re-dialled-last-number when trying to skip-to-next-track due to additional mis-pressings. Volume controls are easy to operate though with good raised pip for the + button so you can identify it by touch. Everyday use battery life seems fine, only going as low as medium charge level by the end of the day if I've been making calls for an extended length of time during the day. My previous OpenRuns endured around three years of constant use, eight hours most days and around three or four hour-long runs a week, before the rubberised coating started to separate and degrade. I decided to replace with the same model since it's the only one offering both full waterproof design and bluetooth connectivity. Highly recommended if you sweat as much as I do or are apt to take an early bath on dodgy trail routes / get caught out in the rain.
