Bought this mower as my 2nd cub cadet purchase, never should have. First one had a seized engine after less then 1 summer. Here's the quick and dirty of my 3 year old ZT1 - bought for $3.5-4k: first season worked well - 2nd season, tranmission started acting poorly, deck broke 2-3 times, belts falling off left and right - 3rd season, deck breaks more and more, right side tranmission stops working when warm -- bring to dealer, 30+ day back log (only 1 dealer less then hours of driving), 45 days added on so they can send the transmission back to the manufacture for a tear down and confirmation... its been sitting at the dealer fixed but wont release until Cub Cadet greenlights the obvious bad part. I have not used this mower all season. truly regret this purchase. so i went from a small but fully functional 20+ year old craftsman LT2000 mower, that's only ever needed oil, spark plugs and air filter changing, never once needed to repair the mowing deck to a Cub Cadet. Which has needed more repairs then any other piece of equipment I own. Do not waste your time or money on anything cub cadet. My family has had them since well before i was born, so i thought it was a safe bet. Nope, they decided to go from a quality brand to cheapest to make brand. For me, I have purchased 2 pieces of their garbage in the last 10 years, neither cheap. 1. not cheap 2. terrible quality 3. terrible customer experience 4. terrible customer "warranty" process
