Braun Gold Tone Permanent Coffee Filter BRSC002

It does not quite fit my Wolf Gourmet drip coffee maker even though my Wolf uses #4 paper filters. To be fair, Wolf was not one of the machines listed and so that was not why I deducted a star. I generally like Braun products. I would have considered a Braun drip machine if they made one with a thermal carafe and a removable water tank. I own other Braun products. I deducted a star for two reasons. The plastic portions of the basket are a bit flimsy. I can see where the plastic might break over time or with one mishap -- especially the handle. I was also hoping the structure of the filter more resembled the Able metal filter I originally bought for my 6-cup Chemex (now my daughter's Chemex) that I still use sometimes with my size 03 Hario Switch. The metal isn't as robust. All of that said, I am sure the filter works perfectly. I am reasonably certain it will fit my 35-year old Salton which will come out of storage when my coffee station is finished being revamped. The holes on the filter look uniformly drilled and spaced, and the metal is decent even if it's not as robust as my Able. I wish I could give it 4½ stars.
