Pure Green Natural Latex Mattress Topper

I purchased a 2” soft topper without a cover for our too firm for me innerspring mattress. The topper had a very faint, non-offensive odor when first unpacked but it wasn’t noticeable one I added our bed protector and sheets on top. The first night I HATED it. I don’t typically sleep warm at all but kept waking up clammy and sweaty. The second night wasn’t much better, but gradually my body figured out how to not overheat on the bed and it stopped being a problem for me. My husband sleeps warmer than I do and didn’t notice the topper sleeping warm so maybe I’m just perimenopausal. I suspect that using a cover and some more breathable layers between the latex and your skin might help. Anyway, my husband outweighs me by about 100 lbs and we both find the topper comfortable - I have less back and joint pain and my husband still gets the support he needs for his larger frame. The topper does transfer movement more than our mattress without it (its a bit bouncy), but I like the softness it adds to our bed. I am a side sleeper with broad shoulders, prominent hips, and a slim waist so find myself all angulated when sleeping on too firm surfaces and typically wake up with some sort of joint, neck, or back pain. This topper seems to have resolved that. I’m not all that interested in testing out a bunch of different toppers to find the perfect one that meets my criteria for comfortable, environmentally friendly, and safe, so after a small adjustment period, I’m happy with our SOL topper.
