++ Bose have just announced they are releasing the QC Ultra Gen 2's, improving on these ++ These earbuds sound exceptionally good for earbuds, particularly if you like your bass to have headphone-like character. They are very comfortable for long term use, charge quickly, the case is slim enough to not be too annoying to slip into your pocket, and the battery life is good enough. There are downsides however. The touch controls are very sensitive so it is very easy to accidentally change song or pause, and this cannot be turned off. I personally have no problem with the connection dropping at all, either with or without the multi-point bluetooth so I believe this may have largely been fixed. The general consensus for this specific product are that there are a number of issues plaguing them that Bose have not yet fixed, and likely won't due to the release of the gen 2 model releasing soon. Namely - the vast majority of these earbuds have a static issue that seems innate to the design of the product, in that you can hear a faint buzzing and occasional beeping that you can hear when no sound is playing (sound does overpower it but it is still there intermitently). This issue occurs in replacements, as has been the case for users on Bose forums. If these were much cheaper this wouldn't be a problem, but for this price point I think it is inexcusable. Hopefully, the gen 2s will have fixed these issues, but its been over a year since Bose acknowledged this issue and has not fixed them.
