I was excited to see a new powder foundation to compliment the tinted moisturizer for touch ups. However I found the compact to be an odd design and to feel a little cheap compared to other compacts I Jane from this brand and price point. I did order a shade that seemed too light but I didn’t feel like the application was smooth and it didn’t feel like very much product in the compact. Laura Mercier has great customer service and returns though so will continue to try new products.

I tried this new foundation because apparently the smooth finish foundation that I have been using is going to be phased out. Unfortunately, the new one is no where as good. The colors are bad, the consistency is bad, and although it says that it is longwear, it started fading before I even finished applying my makeup. Sadly, I am now going to have to find a new foundation. Why would you get rid of a product that is exceptional in every way and replace it with a lesser product? It doesn't make sense.
