I've only worn it in light rain but noticed some rain drops beaded up and others soaked into the fabric. The DWR finish doesn't appear to be applied well or evenly. I suspect in heavy rain you'd get wet. Makes a decent wind breaker but I wouldn't trust it in steady rain.

bc this is men's XL and I am women's XL, the shoulders are fairly wide (okay with me as I have broad shoulders) ... the bottom is "not generous" around my ample women's hips, but I can zip it okay with lighter clothes underneath ... sleeves are actually way long on me, but that is preferable to them being too short on me ... I constantly have an issue with EddieBauer women's clothes having sleeves too short, even EB women's tall length ... it is very light-weight and packable for travel -- that is why I bought it ... that and I paid about 20-25% of the original price bc I bought it on clearance and had some rewards money.
