OVERALL: I absolutely love the minimalist nature of this bag, it's sleek and casual shape and lack of extemporaneous hardware and details really drew me to it. I love the oversized look, too. It definitely isn't your typical "fancy" handbag. Normally I am very practical and wear my basic nylon sling but this bag haunted my dreams for a few weeks so I took the plunge. LEATHER: The leather quality is a bit lacking. It is pretty thin, but that keeps the weight down. The texture on the inside doesn't feel nice. This is why I give it only 4 stars, but I am torn. I have a smaller bag by another maker that has really thick sumptuous leather but it is so heavy it hurts my shoulder so I suppose it is a necessary tradeoff from keeping it from being too heavy. SIZE: I bought mine in store because I wasn't sure about the sizing. I didn't want to look like I was schlepping a giant sack around. Trying them in person I thought the 39 looked really good. I am 5'4" with a long torso. The 28 looked like a normal purse, nothing striking in the design. The oversized nature of the 39 makes it a bit avant-garde which I LOVE. The size is great, but don't be tempted to fill it too full because it will get heavy. It fits all my stuff and I can throw in my puffer jacket, too. COLOR: I ended up getting the Dark Stone color. It is beautiful and balances the large size, it doesn't take over. It is a color I am normally drawn to, and already have a lot of taupe/putty colors in my wardrobe so it will work in nicely. Maple was my second choice, the dark espresso brown was less stark than black but deep and rich. Dark Ruby ended up being more red and less oxblood than the photos online. The Sage and Bluebell are so pretty, but with the size they made it take over my frame. That was also why I stayed away from Black, it was just too dark for me at that size. Honey Brown was lighter then I like in a whiskey color. The cedar suede color didn't look as luxurious in person but the texture was amazing. I just can't trust myself with suede.
