I've been using my blue Beats Solo 4 headphones for over a month now. I use them all the time, traveling in airplanes (multi-hour flights), airports, walking, working out at the gym, and at home jamming out. First off the bat, they are NOT noise canceling. But they are doable on airplanes. I fly for work and have used them in all sections of a plane and they can be used, but it's not going to keep screaming babies out of your ears. In addition, they may become uncomfortable on the ears (think pressure applied to the ears) when worn for a 2-3 hour flights. You may need to take a break for those longer trips. Working out: depending on what your workout routine is they can slide around forwards and backwards on your head if you're doing any floor work excersies i.e. yoga, crunches, etc. Walking: Perfect pair for walking on the streets and enjoying cities, like New York City for me they worked great! A big flaw for me is when you put them on you don't really hear a sound, or auditory indication if they are on or off, or how long you should hold the power button. So, you need to take them off connect them between devices and see the "white light" flash and connect and then you hear the beats hum. This does become annoying for me at times when I want to switch from phone, to laptop or ipad. Overall, they are decent but keep in mind that the money is going into the name and "fashion" of the headphones. Honestly, I have a pair of Soundcores that work just as good or even better than these and they are half the cost. I just bought them to be part of the "cool kid club" with an "apple" product and for the warranty under apple care, as my headsets are used daily and heavily. I would perhaps steer my friends towards other products depending on their needs.
