Room & Board Modern Luxury Serene Foam Mattress

Based on the reviews, we had high hopes for this mattress. It started out a bit firm, but we expected it to soften with time. We took very good care of it and rotated it regularly (and are not obese). Unfortunately, after about 2 years the foam started failing, and when we would lie down there would be two sinkholes and a bump in the middle making it difficult to turn over and causing us both to have significant back pain. Room and Board sent someone out who took measurements (when the bed was unoccupied) and said that it was fine. Room and Board said that it was normal wear and tear, and tried to blame us, saying that maybe our preferences in mattress firmness had changed. So we had to throw it out and buy a new mattress less than 3 years later. We have only had good experiences with Room and Board until now, so was extremely disappointed that they did not stand behind their product. I would strongly recommend against purchasing this item.
