Moccamaster KBGV Select Coffee Maker

We splurged on got the Select for our 21st anniversary. Amazed by the craftsmanship and quality of the machine. It does look really good. My wife was not a coffee fan and my daughter dislikes coffee. I brewed our first pot of coffee using the recommended formula for 40oz of water. I ground the medium roast coffee beans from Papua New Guinea and used the enclosed filters and pre moistened it as suggested. (Never thought of doing that before) We all stood in the kitchen and watched the Moccamaster at work. It’s kinda neat to watch the water come back up through the center column. The coffee entered the glass carafe and appeared pitch black. It made my wife and daughter nervous and they began to decline sampling the coffee. As it poured into coffee cups they decided to try it anyway. Everyone was blown away by the coffee. The flavors that were now apparent made us realize that we’ve been missing out for a long time. My daughter told my wife she is eager to have another cup of coffee in the morning. My wife admitted to me that she can’t wait for another cup as well. Looking forward to using it from now on.
