Moccamaster KBGV Select Coffee Maker

We love the design of this pot, not only because it looks so cool, but because its built to stay clean! We pulled away from the one cup pod thing a while ago and purchased a maker with the water well in the rear. After time, it built up residue and we were concerned about mold because we just couldnt get way down to clean it properly. This pot has the well in clear sight, allowing us to maintain it crystal clear and clean always.I love that theres not a million settings including a clock and auto timer. This pot is basic, but so amazing. We set it all up the night before and first thing when we wake, push the button and by the time you grab what you need...its done because it brews so fast!The pot brews quickly and distributes the water evenly over the grinds allowing for a robust cup of coffee. Its cool to watch it brewing because you can see the water boiling up from the core and pushing up through the top of the pot. Many of the posts say to use a medium grind, we dont. We love a deep dark fine roast espresso blend and it brews perfectly!The only reason we didnt give it five stars is because of two improvements we think would make it the ultimate appliance. First, I wish it were a larger pot of coffee. A 12 cup pot would be awesome! Next, the pot feels so light. When you touch it, if feels like a cheap plastic pot. The reason the weight isnt concerning is because we know through reading all the testimonials that this pot is built to last...but we only wished it would have been more substantial to the touch.If the pot were heavier and brewed 12 cups, we would have given it ten bazillion stars...
