Breck's Victoria Falls Reblooming Iris
Named after the world's largest waterfall, this showy, cobalt blue iris has heavily ruffled petals, white beards and a white patch at the center of each fall. It's impressive when planted in large groups—or mixed with other iris cultivars. Its lightly scented flowers also look elegant in cut-flower arrangements. Blooms in late spring to early summer and reblooms from late summer to early fall. Grows 40 in. tall with an 18-24 in. spread. Like other German or bearded iris, Victoria Falls Reblooming German Iris is a low-maintenance, deer-resistant perennial. It naturalizes well, and the plants can be divided every 3-4 years. Plant in full sun to partial shade. Bareroot. Zones 4-9.

The Victoria Falls reblooming iris is a fast grower and of two, one even had flowers last fall and tremendous leaf production. This spring both plants produced blooms, with one plant producing over 12 blooms. After months of drought conditions this spring we had 8 inches of rain in 10 days, and I think some of the irises blooms were damaged from too much water, dying before opening. Still I found the blooms to be large and gorgeous, appearing blue-purple to a lavender, depending on the lighting.
