Right out of the box the POD button did NOT work. We tried and tried again and throughly read the instructions. We had read other reviews that mentions this issue but bought it anyway (what a mistake!) We exchanged it for another one because we liked the concept of it and it looks good on the counter. Well the new one (right out of the box) LEAKED. The reservoir for the single cup leaks significantly at the base of the appliance. I went to exchange it for the third time because I really wanted this coffee maker and for it to work. I changed my mind when I got to Kohls because the one I had returned with the non-functioning POD light was back on the shelf. I knew it was the one I returned because the tabs were not closed and I had used a piece of tape to keep the box closed. First, I could not believe they put it back out there for some poor person to buy and experience the same problem. Shame on Kohl’s for that! Secondly, Cuisinart should make a product that works! As mentioned, these problems were straight out the box. I decided that “Cuisinart’s” clearly defective coffee maker was not worth trying for a third time because chances are it would not work or that Kohl’s might have restocked all the returned defective appliance's without sending them back to the manufacturer. Save yourself the aggravation and time on this one.
