When my mum needed an upgrade a samsung was no brainer. we use samsung in our household so i was expecting this to be pretty seamless. however for some reason samsung has decided that the A series phones will have a different OneUI to their S and older lineups. This one behaves more like what I imagine an iPhone to be. The biggest point of annoyance for my mum (and me), is that you no longer can swipe down for notifications (and some settings) and then swipe down again for all your quick settings etc. You now have to swipe down from the top left for your notifications, or swipe down from the top right for all your quick settings... For a samsung user of almost a decade this was quite the whiplash. And to think my mum was finally starting to get the hang of it only to now have to learn it all again ;_; I have no idea why Samsung has changed so much in their OneUI just for the A series in such a drastic way. My S21 and partner's S24 FE don't behave like this. Otherwise the phone has been great as to be expected. Its battery life can last a few days, screen is easy to read and is fast even though over 20 apps are still open because lets be honest mum still hasnt learnt to close them. Hopefully she can relearn how to use oneui.
