Jones Road Miracle Balm

I overall like this product but it is not for everyone. The color is beautiful and I find that it stays on without budging until I wash my face. Because of the waxy ingredients, this product is good on drier skin. It also gives my skin a nice glow. I find that sheen more flattering than powders now that my skin is getting drier. I always had oily skin until the last few years when I hit menopause and it has been a learning curve realizing that I need different products now that I am in my 50s. Note that I bought this at a JR store in NYC and a makeup artist showed me how to use it. I probably would not like this product as much if I did not know how and where to apply i t. The downsides are that the product is sticky/a bit tacky and that, as noted, there is a very specific way to apply it. As the makeup artist made clear, you need to warm it on the back of your hand (after "breaking the seal", which I find bizarre) and then tap it with quick little taps where you want it. You don't rub it in. The bright side is that you have great control where the color goes and it stays put. But I think that this is product that you will either love or hate. Personally, I like how it makes me look so I put up with its annoying aspects.
