Over the last couple of years, I’ve tried a couple of techniques using a variety of napkins for different holidays and seasons to create fun seasonal candle decor.

I always use my flameless candle hack so that I can use them again year after year.

You can see that I lit the candles to create a candle wax memory so that there would be a spot for the tealight flameless candle to fit inside perfectly (alternatively, you can scoop out the wax with a knife and/or spoon).

I’ve had some people try out my tutorials on regular flameless candles, and it’s worked, but it’s important that you use a real wax flameless candle so that the napkin has something to melt into.

While you can use a hair dryer instead of an iron, I personally prefer using an iron as I feel like the blow dryer can spread/blow wax where it’s not wanted, and an iron has more heat control.

After each season/holiday, I remove the flameless tealight candle, store the decorative candle, and then reuse the flameless tea light candles on the next set of napkin candles.

I can’t wait to use these to decorate for our 4th of July party this year!
